AF2008, Get a clue. Anyone who payed attention to annexation of Airport Blvd. to Ziegler Blvd knows he Sam Jones was being shifty. He tried to annex it all in one zone, but it didn't pass. Then they split it up into four or five zones taking all of the yes votes and putting them in with businesses (who have no vote)and got all but one passed, and guess what that zone is in the middle of all the rest with no business revenue. How in the world that is legal? I don't know, but your right on that account. That is why I have sent Bob Riley a letter asking him to explain this to me, and I encourage anyone else who may be curious to do the same. Now as far as the people not getting a chance to vote, there people who live across the street from some of these businesses who didn't get a chance to vote, and you say sorry it just won't work. Well I think legislation needs to be passed to stop cities from annexing small chunks of tax rich property and leaving the rest of us to pay for it. I can guarantee you I will shop somewhere else. Walmart in Semmes would lose all of my business and the same goes for all of the businesses around it. I would shop the W/D in Semmes and anything I needed from Walmart I can take a nice leisurely drive to Lucedale. They have lower taxes anyway.

And as soon as they blink their Airconditioning unit will be stolen and sold for the copper. This new site compares to planting new grass over a septic tank, the cesspool is still underneath it and smells to high heaven.

I have a few comments: 1. Mayor Jones dosen't work for the county. He works for the city of Mobile and that is who he is responsible for. He is looking at making Mobile bigger and hopefully a better place to live in. The added revenue will help out the city in many different ways. I am sure the city council is already coming up with ways to spend the money. Maybe on the new ramp for the carnival cruise line terminal. 2. How they drew up the lines is perfectly legal in Alabama and was already challenge when the city annex Airport Blvd area with all the stores. 3. Just because you shop there in Tilmans Corner or Theodore doesn't give you a right to vote in the election. Base on that thinking everyone in the county should have been allowed to vote because they may or may not shop at a certain store. Sorry to say but that would not work. If you don't want to pay the higher taxes you can shop somewhere else. 4. Just becasue you may not want to be in the city or get city services dosen't mean that everyone thinks like you do. I am sure the people who voted yes to be annex into the city realize they will have to pay for garbage pickup and other city services through taxes. Some people would rather be in the city and pay the higher taxes. I am sure some people would like city zoning laws and have the city rules. 5. If the county gov't was doing a great job then I doubt the annexation would have passed. There are roads in Mobile county that should have been repaired/paved and widen 20 years ago.

Of course they have priors smoke! These are career criminals that play the system. There is a revolving door in the metro jail downtown. Walk in, get booked, mugshot takened, walk out. It's that simple! While the arresting officer is still in their patrol car outside the jail doing paperwork the criminal is set free and is getting picked up to go commit another crime.

BamaLady50 - 2:39 PM
Clearly a pattern here in the type of robbery and burglary suspects. Can anyone see what similarities all these robbers and thieves have in common?

So... What happened to make this group of girls go to such extremes. What mature decision did the woman make to make them so mad?

wpmi needs to report if these people being booked have more crimnal records and post them to the public. SO we as voters can get on to the people we voted and ask them why our crime rate is still so high and why we have to keep paying for these crimnals to be recycled thru the system. Are we going green with Crime too. RECYLE RECYLE
